proLingo+ Privacy Policy

Overview

proLingo+ is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect no personal data.

Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data. Specifically:

• No audio recordings are stored or transmitted (when using Local Engine)
• No transcription text is stored on any server
• No user accounts are required
• No analytics or tracking tools are used
• No advertising SDKs are included
• No cookies or identifiers are collected

Microphone Usage

proLingo+ requires microphone access solely for real-time speech transcription. Audio is processed in real-time and is not recorded or stored.

Local Engine (On-Device)

When using the Local Engine, all speech recognition and translation processing occurs entirely on your device. No data leaves your device.

Azure Speech (Cloud)

When using the optional Azure Speech engine, audio data is sent to Microsoft Azure servers for processing. This is governed by Microsoft’s Privacy Policy. You can choose to use only the Local Engine if you prefer fully on-device processing.

Third-Party Services

• Local Engine: No third-party services involved
• Azure Speech (optional): Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services
• Translation: On-device translation framework, no data transmitted

Data Storage

Transcription history is stored locally on your device only. It is not synced to any cloud service. You can delete all history at any time from within the app.

Children’s Privacy

proLingo+ does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
