VisionGuard Privacy Policy

Summary: VisionGuard processes all data on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to any server. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics.

1. Data Collection

VisionGuard does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

No user accounts or registration required
No email addresses, names, or contact information collected
No device identifiers or advertising IDs collected
No analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry SDKs are included
No third-party tracking libraries of any kind

2. Camera Usage

VisionGuard uses your device's front-facing camera to:

Detect blink rate using Apple's Vision framework
Measure screen-to-face distance
Determine if you are looking at the screen (for smart break reminders)

All camera processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device machine learning. No images, video frames, or facial data are ever stored, uploaded, or transmitted. The camera feed is processed in real-time and immediately discarded.

3. Health Data

If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, VisionGuard may write mindful session data to Apple Health. This data is governed by Apple's Health privacy framework and stays within your device's Health database. VisionGuard does not read or access any other Health data.

4. Data Storage

Your eye health statistics (blink rates, screen distances, break history, exercise completions) are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data:

Never leaves your device
Is not synced to any cloud service
Is not accessible to any third party
Is deleted when you uninstall the app

5. Widget

The VisionGuard widget displays your eye health score and break timer. This data is shared between the main app and widget via a local App Group container on your device. No data is transmitted externally.

6. Third-Party Services

VisionGuard does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The app is completely self-contained.

7. Children's Privacy

VisionGuard does not knowingly collect any data from children. Since no personal data is collected from any user, COPPA compliance is inherent.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if the app's functionality changes. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
